A modo de sinopsis:
Los mitos clásicos nos hablan de personajes extraordinarios, seres imposibles, habitantes de un mundo que no se corresponde con la realidad que conocemos: dioses y diosas, animales increíbles, hombres y mujeres inmortales, guerreras invencibles, gigantes, sirenas y monstruos. La mitología ofrece una cosmogonía propia, una interpretación acerca de cómo funciona el universo en un espacio temporal que desafía toda lógica y sentido común. Algunos mitos surgen como explicación a todo lo que sucede en nuestro mundo natural, nos cuentan la causa o el origen de los fenómenos atmosféricos, los eclipses, las estaciones climáticas, los elementos, el fuego, las mareas, los planetas, las estrellas o el destino del universo.
Desde la Antigüedad hemos mirado al cielo buscando respuestas, pero con la llegada de la ciencia lo observamos ahora para, principalmente, hacerle preguntas.
